音読の正しい行い方 Slash Reading（スラッシュ・リーディング）

「音読」はリーディングだけではなく、スピーキングにおいても、またリスニングやライティングにおいてもとても効果的な練習方法です。またこれがスムーズに行えることは理解スピードの向上にも繋がります。

文を短く区切りながら、それぞれの塊（チャンク）ごとに繋げて発音し、同時にその意味をイメージします。

そうやって塊（チャンク）ごとのイメージを積み重ねながら内容を日本語を介さずに理解していきます。そうすることで、より自然な形で英語表現が入ってくるようになります。

① まず例文を音読しましょう
We made an order a week ago on Thursday the 20th. But we still haven’t received it. Your advertisement guarantees a quick delivery within three business days. What’s taking so long?（TOEIC問題Part 3引用）

② 塊ごとに区切る・塊で発音
アクセントをしっかり捉えてリズミカルに発音しましょう。
We made an order / [wee-meydn-nor-der] a week ago / [uh-wee-kuh-goh] on Thursday the 20th / [on-thurs-dey-thuh-twe-nieth] But / [buh(t)] we still haven’t / [wis-til-havn(t)] received it / [ri-seev-ti(t)] Your advertisement guarantees / [yoor-uhdver-tahyz-men(t)-gyaren-teez] a quick delivery / [uh-kwi(k)-duh-li-very] within three business days / [within-three-bi-zinus-deyz] What’s taking so long? / [whahts-tey-kin-soh-long]

③ 区切り方のポイント
区切り方には明確なルールがあるわけではありません。始めは出来るだけ短く、イメージしやすく、また繋げて発音しやすい単位で区切っていければOKです。そして徐々に長めに区切れるようになりましょう。
